A wedding gift list registry is the perfect way to make you both you and your guests happy.
Here are my top tips for using a gift registry –
- Make it easy for your guests to buy. Using an online gift registry means it is accessible to everyone.
- Select a range of gifts varying in price from £10 upwards. This allows your guests with differing budgets to contribute.
- It’s OK to ask for money towards your honeymoon. But rather than receiving envelopes stuffed with cash ask your travel agent if they have a solution for donating. Or use a registry like Prezola (see below) or tell your guests exactly what the money will be used for. Is there an experience or tour you would like to do as part of your honeymoon? Perhaps dinner for two on the beach, champagne at sunset or paragliding! Package them up as a product and let your guests contribute towards those.
- Let your guests know the details of your list but perhaps not on the main invitation. Pop the link on your wedding website, or on the ‘other info’ card that you send with your invite.
